Biography
Benjamin Linstadt aka Big Ben Da Prodagy born January 6, 1988 is an up and coming audio engineer from Omaha, Nebraska. Ben started writing, recording, performing, and engineering music at the age of 15 when he first started pursuing his dreams of being a rap artist. He started selling cd's across Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri all while still in high school, in which some of his teachers deemed him an entrepreneur. In 2006 he started a group called the Cut Throat Boyz which comprised of three members hailing from different cities which included (Omaha, Nebraska, St. Louis, Missouri, and New Orleans, Louisiana) The group went on to expand to CTB2NOFB (Cut Throat Boyz 2 New Orleans Flood Boyz) with the addition of members who joined after Hurricane Katrina devastated the southern city of New Orleans, Louisiana forcing many victims to relocate in Omaha, NE. The group became well known locally, and Ben was at the forefront of it all, engineering over eight projects in the coarse of four years. In 2009 the group divided and pursued solo ventures and with the untimley death of one of the original members, Ben decided to do the same. In 2012 Ben dropped his first solo project Big Ben Da Prodagy " The Year of The Underdawg" and started working with established photographer/ videographer Bizzy B where he released videos for his hit songs "Grind" which has received over 100k views, "Broken Promises" and "With Me" all of which garnered him more attention and opportunities. Those opportunities lead him to opening up for acts such as Twista, Bonecrusher, and Kirko Bangs; being on the radio and doing interview with celebrity and radio host Houston Alexander from 106.9fm as well performing at the prestigious Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis S.D. Over the course of the last 15 years he has recored people from each genre and became familiar with the working environment with artists, and how to produce the best product out of each recording session. Because of his ability to be both a artist and engineer he relates to the artist needs and understands what they desire in their artwork, as well as offering creative advice, or on the go editing to give a glimpse of what the project could potentially be. Ben opted to further his talent in 2016 shorty after releasing his hit song "IDKAY" and joined Full Sail University to aspire to become more involved in engineering and get a deeper understanding of the techniques and practices involved. In the process of going to Full Sail University he learned music theory, vocal techniques, mixing techniques,and advanced mixing techniques which has lead him to start producing and mixing mastering music, making him a quadruple threat as a producer, song writer, mix engineer and master engineer. He released his first track in which he produced, wrote, mixed, and mastered on January 6, 2019 called "Win or Nothin" which speaks on his journey thus far, as he looks to continue to work with artist and build his craft and his into a lifestyle.
